For over 12 years, Scott has worked as a public defender in the greater NY area, advocating for individuals charged with crimes who were unable to afford legal representation. Scott has been involved in a multitude of areas of law, from contract law, to criminal, and divorce.
Scott not only continued his courtroom practice but also spearheaded the creation of several advocacy initiatives and media campaigns. These included “The Justice Collaborative,” addressing immigration issues nationwide; “Justice for DACA,” focusing on New York laws and immigration, and divorce polices.
Scott shifted his focus entirely to leading legal council in NY, fostering legal advocacy and human rights. He is a sought-after public speaker. Scott has also provided guidance for numerous high-profile criminal justice campaigns and media projects such as The Justice Collaborative.
